Crock pot Italian beef recipes (mock) are out there, numerous and arguably subjective, let me tell you. That's good! Nobody's on top. This one is my idea of a decent food heaven. Still, the whole idea is to make a great feed for you and get you going; not only that but keeping you out of the sandwich shops and letting your crock pot do the heavy lifting.

Isn't it funny how when you work you get a powerful hunger building in you for a great meal? I find that ten to twelve hours of serious labor will produce some thoughtful ideas on what to put together for a meal. It's true. You can think clearer when you put the blade down to plow. Yes, you are working hard, but in the back of your mind you're forming distinctive plans for a feed that will keep you going. In my meal planning, it may be a week in advance.
Late night food discussions with my co-workers (shout out to Dale ;) can be interesting and fun, especially near the end of the week and quitting time when the air is crackling with freedom and thoughts of what to do, who to see and what to cook.
For crock pot italian beef, I try not to get fancy for the meat cuts. I like to use sirloin tip roasts for this recipe when I'm on top financially, but rump or heavily trimmed chuck roast (that may be on sale) works just as good when my funds are low. Yeah, they get low :) It's ok though, because when you put all of these ingredients together and cooked on low for ten to twelve hours, trust me, you'll never know that the chuck or rump wasn't the most exquisit cut you ever consumed. That's due to the crock pot breakdown of meat, spices, onion soup mix, Campbell's beef consommé, garlic and rosemary leaves. That's where the beauty lies with this dish!
The goal? Only a tasty shredded and seasoned cheesed sandwich with side attributes that make one great meal ;)
Here's my personal recipe of crock pot Italian beef cooked in an oval Hamilton Beach slow cook crockpot (it'll be big, and you will have leftovers)
I slow cook this for about ten hours and usually overnight. The whole idea is to have your roasts fall apart, and they will! Take your lid off and shred the roasts with a couple of forks. Check your flavor at this point add garlic and rosemary if you want and think about your sandwich consistancy. It's totally personal at this point; how do you like it? You can put it on soft buns with provolone cheese and a little juicy, cutting each bite with a fork or drain the meat a bit and place it on a french roll with your favorite cheese. Don't forget the sides ;)

Ordering:
With inflation running amok with food, fuel and everything else resembling one of those heart monitors; zig, zag, up then down, I really stand on "real time pricing". What is "real time pricing"? It means I'm actually in the store calculating true prices on your order.
That's right, a real human being making it happen for you. Prices you see on Food Run Fix are close estimates and not guaranteed to be absolute because they change every day, so I have to comb the grocery lanes, see what they got, see the prices, pick the products and give you the shout out! Just like if you were shopping yourself. Simply add your items to the cart.
Paying:
Don't pay anything, regardless of what you see in the cart until I send you the actual invoiced bill of the real time prices, sales tax and my delivery fee, right from the store. You also get the receipt; everything is open and upfront.
Lastly, remember that I am working for you! If there is anything you need to change last minute, you have my number (608) 214-8758 and email, rex@foodrunfix.com. No worries ;)
