Act II Popcorn
Act II Popcorn is a convenient product. Back in the day (1970's), we put the popcorn seeds into heated oil, added butter and salt and enjoyed that with our favorite TV show! There was a product at that time on television being promoted called "Jiffy Pop". My parents didn't buy that. As a family, we were amused by those TV ads! Why buy that when you can pop your own? Some of our neighbors grew popcorn and gave us their produce to pop. At some point, we also grew our own popcorn, which is an easy crop to grow and harvest. As they say, a "no brainer".

My, my, if we could've only seen the future! Now we have microwave popcorn. I have to admit, I like the convenience! For grab happy, in a hurry moving and shaking people like me, microwave popcorn is the bomb. High in fiber, tasty, and 100 percent better then any chip alive, popcorn has your back. Another added benefit of microwave popcorn is annoying your co-workers with the popcorn smell! How many times in your work have you heard somebody remark or ask about a popcorn smell? Have you hunted it down and grabbed a handful? Yep, me too, to my sad co-workers expense! Try to be sneaky and it doesn't work. Sorry co-workers for my deception! (Not sorry!) |
