Applegate Naturals (Applegate, the brand) pride their company products on these things absolutely not being in their food: No antibiotics, growth hormones, zero GMO (genetically modified) ingredients and a sincere, good working attitude and practice towards humanely raising animals for the food they process for human consumption; note: any farmer I've ever met in Wisconsin & Illinois over my 55 years of living sincerely cares about how they raise their animals; it's their livelihood (a blanketed statement by any company certainly doesn't tell any complete story.) Since one hand washes another Applegate can't exist without "other non GMO companies" and it would be highly hypocritical for them to "sound a horn", so to speak. I strongly suspect. As a GMO Project supporter, I do understand. We want great food and great food practices! It's a no brainer and believe me, as a food consumer I want only good feed going into me and my customers.
I feel part of my job while working on Food Run Fix is to be open to a different mindset about food. After all, my customers aren't me. They are their own great selves with their own food wants and needs!
I feel sometimes that I may be failing miserably at offering a variety of interesting items that are out there simply to pick up. With that statement in my mind, here's a few Applegate products, all that I could simply see that Woodman's in Madison lays out.
