A big breakfast involves some delicious put together items: eggs, toast, potatoes, sausage, biscuits & gravy. Making it isn't for sissies; it takes some planning thought & timing, believe me. If you can toss all this together and make it still be hot, then you can give yourself a short order cook award!
It's a meal that I dedicate to my dad Roy who was a heavy breakfast champ. He was an egg, toast, sausage or hamburger gravy kind of guy and he cooked like a pro and whipped up a breakfast for all of us, even cooking while he was dying of cancer. God bless him. Set in his ways and a total Southern man; a better morning man was never born then my father. Did he love his coffee? Don't even get me started he loved it so much! He also enjoyed old country music, whiskey & Marlboro's. Not all in that order :)

This is Roy's gravy. I got the info from him, and you can make it easy with four basic ingredients: ground sausage or ground beef, flour & whole milk.
Then there's the biscuits, salt and pepper. Believe me, there's nothing to it and I suspect it was a depression era dish as his parents went through that era. Biscuits and gravy were filling and fed him, his brother and three sisters. The contents never change, only the prices but what a delicious staple! Here's what you need:
Cook one pound sausage or one pound ground beef. Don't drain. In that skillet add per pound 2 heaping tablespoons of flour and mix it. Add four cups of whole milk and stir until thickened under low -medium heat. Add salt and pepper to taste and toss that mix over hot biscuits. That's all there is to it! If you're adding any other big breakfast items, of course, it takes a little more planning ;)

A great scramble or an over easy egg (my personal favorite) is central to a big breakfast. It's a good reasonably priced protein. Coupled with potatoes and toast the egg is unbeatable.

You can flatten out eggs by breaking the yolk and make one heck of a great sandwich with toasted muffins, bacon and cheese! There's nothing better then to bite into a crusty muffin loaded with all these ingredients. You don't have to go out and buy it. Make it right at your home.

Ordering:
With inflation running amok with food, fuel and everything else resembling one of those heart monitors; zig, zag, up then down, I really stand on "real time pricing". What is "real time pricing"? It means I'm actually in the store calculating true prices on your order.
That's right, a real human being making it happen for you. Prices you see on Food Run Fix are close estimates and not guaranteed to be absolute because they change every day, so I have to comb the grocery lanes, see what they got, see the prices, pick the products and give you the shout out! Just like if you were shopping yourself. Simply add your items to the cart.
Paying:
Don't pay anything, regardless of what you see in the cart until I send you the actual invoiced bill of the real time prices, sales tax and my delivery fee, right from the store. You also get the receipt; everything is open and upfront.
Lastly, remember that I am working for you! If there is anything you need to change last minute, you have my number (608) 895-6188 and emails, rex@foodrunfix.com or burgess_rex@yahoo.com. No worries ;)
