Charmin T Paper is certainly not a sexy topic, yet, it is a needed one. The product is the cream of the toilet paper crop available today. Charmin has come a long way from it's original soft, squeezable form that it was. Now there's basic, ultra strong and soft, essentials and more depending on your dollar. Bears are the Charmin mascots now, but back in the late 60's and early 70's Mr. Whipple ruled with an iron hand! Dick Wilson was Mr. Whipple for years, portraying him from 1964 to 1985. He retired in 85' but old tissue squeezers never retire, however, or even fade away because Mr. Wilson came back in 1999 with a corporate identity vengeance, cutting heads and taking names.
Did you know that Charmin was originally made in good old Green Bay, Wisconsin? Why do all great things come from Wisconsin? We rock, that's why. A standard of excellence is how people in this state certainly measures a task. Enough bragging, though. In 1957, Procter & Gamble bought the brand. The rest is history and is why you can find the toilet paper on any shelf anywhere. Believe me, I love living in the United States Of America where you can go anywhere and get any product you need, toilet paper certainly being a must.
