Kiwi Shoe Polish

Kiwi Shoe Polish is a product I don't think I could live without. I also would hate myself if I didn't include shoe polish and laces on this site. Myself, I wear work boots that use laces that need to be strong and secure 48 hours a week. On the weekends, out and about, I wear polished boots with spurs and those boots need polish. Everybody's got their idea of great footwear but I will stand with a general consensus, and I'll try to write this gently because I don't want to alienate shoppers at all, but those fuzzy house slippers people wear while shopping at Wal-Mart? They have to go along with the ridiculous clown pant ensemble. You can't polish fuzzy house slippers. Yes, I'm laughing inside. Judgmental. Yes. True, yes. Sorry. No I'm not and yes I am.

A polished shoe or boot was certainly a distinguishing trait back in the 19th century. I've seen old photos from the city I live in, Monroe, Wisconsin of great people walking around the square in all of their finery. Central amongst all of the social interaction was the courthouse which still stands today. It's interesting to see those old photos; we call them old and all of those people are probably in Monroe's Greenwood cemetery minus the folks who drifted. Meanwhile, I walk the streets. 

It's important to know they did have a life, romanced, ate good food, lived, tried and strived...just like we aim to do today. That should wipe away the arrogance that our lives today might be superior. Nothing has changed. 

They were classy, dressed nice and polished their shoes. Men and women, real people with real social interaction and dressed foot gear. Not like now with the digital blankness of anonymity and dirty tennis shoes behind a keyboard and I hope I'm not speaking about myself (cue the shifting eyes now). Low blow to me... I simply segue into Kiwi, a product I use on my boots that have spurs, although I'm not a cowboy. I just simply like a polished boot that jingles!
