Bistro Beef Sliders

Classic Beef Cheeseburgers

Two Beef Recipes To Use Grill Mates On!

Ingredients:

1 beef Top Sirloin Petite Roast (2 pounds)
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon coarse grind black pepper
1 medium red onion, halved, then thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1-1/2 cups regular or reduced-fat blue cheese dressing
24 small dinner rolls, split
3 cups fresh baby greens (such as spinach, arugula or mixed salad greens)
12 slices bacon, cooked, cut in half

Cooking:

Preheat oven to 325°F. Combine garlic and pepper; press evenly onto all surfaces of beef Top Sirloin Petite Roast.
Place roast on rack in shallow roasting pan. Toss onion with oil; place around roast. Do not add water or cover. Roast in 325°F oven 75 to 95 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness.
Remove roast when instant-read thermometer registers 135°F for medium rare; 150°F for medium doneness. Transfer roast to carving board; tent loosely with aluminum foil. Let stand 10 minutes. (Temperature will continue to rise about 10°F to reach 145°F for medium rare; 160°F for medium.)
Meanwhile, increase oven temperature to 425°F. Return onions to oven; roast an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Carve roast into slices. Spread 1 tablespoon blue cheese dressing on bottom half of each. Top evenly with spinach, bacon, beef and onions. Close sandwiches and tie into some great chow!

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1-1/2 teaspoons McCormick blend
4 hamburger buns, split
4 slices cheese (such as Cheddar, American, Swiss, etc.)
4 lettuce leaves
4 tomato slices
Optional Toppings
(such as ketchup, mustard, red onion slices, pickles)

Cooking:

Combine Ground Beef and steak seasoning in large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Lightly shape into four 1/2-inch thick patties. Place patties on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 8 to 10 minutes (over medium heat on preheated gas grill, 7 to 9 minutes) until instant-read thermometer inserted horizontally into center registers 160°F, turning occasionally. About 2 minutes before burgers are done, place buns, cut sides down, on grid. Grill until lightly toasted. During last minute of grilling, top each burger with cheese slice. Cook's Tip: To prepare on stovetop, heat large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Place patties in skillet; cook 12 to 15 minutes until instant-read thermometer inserted horizontally into center registers 160°F, turning occasionally.

Cooking times are for fresh or thoroughly thawed Ground Beef. Color is not a reliable indicator of Ground Beef doneness. Line bottom of each bun with lettuce leaf; top with tomato slice, burger and toppings, as desired. Close sandwiches.

I really like the Steakhouse burger seasoning mix packets. Unfortunately, I can't get them where I'm at; I have to go for a forty mile ride to purchase them. It's worth it. Why? Well, if you don't have access wherever you're at to have a grill to be able to grill great food, you can use McCormick's seasoning packets for that grill flavor. I don't know how they've done it, but hat's off; they've mocked grill flavor somehow :) Tasty? I can't explain other then "just try them". You'll be pleasantly surprised.
